Make Study Time Your Work Time, Too

It’s difficult for students to settle down to studying and reading if everyone around them is busily—and noisily—relaxing and doing fun things.

To make it easier for your teen to put effort into academics, work when your student works. You may have emails from work to answer, or preparation to do. If not, instead of turning on the TV or spending time on social media, get a good book or some household bookkeeping, and do your reading, organizing and math chores as your teen does the same. It’s a wonderful example to set.
