Encourage Imagination and Creativity

As children grow, their interest in many creative activities, like drawing and playing made-up games with toys, often fades.

So during the teen years, your student may need more encouragement to be imaginative. This kind of creativity helps students build thinking skills and express themselves in healthy ways.

Suggest that your teen:

• Keep a photo journal.
• Design a decoration plan for a room in your home.
• Write a story based on favorite characters from a book, show or movie.
• Act in a play.
• Invent a recipe.
• Daydream.
