Help Your Child Remember Responsibilities
Nobody likes to be nagged. But everyone needs to be reminded of responsibilities once in a while. Here are some no-nag solutions to help your child live up to responsibility:
- Use to-do lists.
Teach your child to write tasks in order of importance and cross off completed items. - Write notes.
Keep sticky notes and pens handy. Post notes to your child, yourself or others. - Make a job chart.
List duties, who is responsible for them, and when they should be done. Instead of nagging, you can simply point to the chart.- Create a reminder box.
Family members can check it each day for friendly reminders.
