Play a Holiday Word Game

This year, to entertain your child after a big holiday dinner, try this classic word game. Have your child make as many words as possible from the word celebration. For example, the letters for the word clear are in celebration.

One mom thought of a way to make this a hands-on game for her child. She got out the board game Scrabble. She gave her child tiles for each word. Then the child rearranged the letters to make new words.

If you don’t have Scrabble, you can create your own letter tiles on cardboard squares.
