Asking your child to write numbers out as words is a good way to make sure your student understands the place values of numbers.
Provide a list of four or five numbers. For example, 562, 73, 184, 16 and 43. Then ask your child to write those numbers as words—five hundred sixty-two, seventy-three and so on.
You can also do this activity in reverse. Say the words and ask your child to write the numbers.
