Support Your Child Three Vital Ways on Test Days

As the year draws to a close, your child may be taking big tests in school. How can you help?

Make sure that your child:

• Attends school on test day. Schedule any appointments for non-school hours.
• Gets enough sleep at night in the weeks leading up to the test. The night before, have your child go to bed early. In the morning, wake your student a few minutes early to ensure a relaxed, on time start to the day.
• Eats a nutritious breakfast on test day. Hunger interferes with concentration.

When families do these three things, children can give tests their best effort.
