Students Can Have Both Gifts and Disabilities

Did you know that children can be both gifted and have a learning disability?

Does your child focus intently on one activity? Is it difficult to get your child to shift from that activity to another task? Does your child have an above average vocabulary? Is your child highly creative? Is it also difficult for your child to speak, read, write, spell or do math problems?

If you suspect that your child fits these descriptions, talk with the school. Ask about the symptoms of children who are both gifted and have learning disabilities. Students like yours can succeed. But they need special support at home and at school.
