Students Learn What Parents Teach

Parents are their children’s most influential teachers.

Of course, school has a major part to play in children's education. But schools have kids only 16 percent of the time (1,440 hours of the 8,760 hours in each year—based on an average 180 day school year).

Parents have their children for the other 84 percent of the time.

How are you using your time with your child? Show her that learning is a priority and something she can do anytime and anywhere. Encourage her curiosity and reinforce what she's learning in school. Make education a priority.
