Your engagement in education has big benefits

There is so much evidence that family engagement with education makes a big difference in children's learning. For students, having involved families can lead to improved achievement, better attendance, a more positive attitude toward school, and an awareness of options for future education and work.

Parents benefit from engaging by gaining a better understanding of school programs and policies. They can form support networks with other parents. They also develop skills that help them help their children.

Family engagement is important for you, your child and the school. Ask your child’s teacher or principal how you can get involved.
