A Library Card is a Gift That Lasts

Want to give your child a gift that will last a lifetime but doesn't cost a cent? Then make sure he—and every other member of your family—has a library card.

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month. If it has been a while since you visited the library, spend some time this month helping your child discover its offerings, either in person or on the library website. Find out how to take advantage of its collections and programs. Then plan a regular schedule of library visits with your whole family throughout the year. You'll be giving your child access to a lifetime of learning, knowledge and pleasure.
