Help Your Child Make Friends

Having school friends makes kids more enthusiastic about school. They feel more secure and confident. This makes it easier for them to handle challenges and resist negative pressure. Due to the pandemic, however, many children may need some extra help developing their social skills.

To help your child make positive friendships, model the qualities that attract and keep friends. For example, be kind to your child and others. Avoid putting other people down. Stand up on others’ behalf, and try to keep a positive outlook on life.
